4.1. Service definition: An all-IP network interconnection between providers Networks, using SIP interconnections and IP transport to reduce the operational and capital costs of trunking off-net traffic between providers. At SIP network borders, a session border controllers (SBCs) are required to mediate the differences between service providers as well as provide security, quality and cost control at the ingress and egress of each provider’s network. Both Parties must ensure that robust security controls, deep interworking and mediation features, policy-based routing and admission control policies are in place.
