Common use of Solely Owned Patents Clause in Contracts

Solely Owned Patents. Each party will be responsible, in its discretion and at its sole expense, for preparing, filing, prosecuting and maintaining patent applications and patents relating to the inventions conceived or reduced to practice in the course of the Research Program that are owned solely by that party as described in Section 7.1, and conducting any interferences, re-examinations, reissues, oppositions or requests for patent term extension or governmental equivalents thereto.

Solely Owned Patents. Each party will Subject to Section 5.2(b) below, each Party shall be responsible, in its discretion responsible for the prosecution and at its sole expense, for preparing, filing, prosecuting and maintaining patent applications and patents relating to the inventions conceived or reduced to practice in the course maintenance of the Research Program that are owned solely by that party as described patents covering its Sole Inventions on a worldwide basis in Section 7.1, accordance with such party’s approach for Patents of similar nature and conducting any interferences, re-examinations, reissues, oppositions or requests for patent term extension or governmental equivalents theretovalue.
