Spark Arresters and Mufflers. Except for tractors and other equipment with exhaust-operated turbochargers, Purchaser shall equip each operating tractor and any other internal combustion engine with an approved spark arrester. There shall be no exhaust bypass on any system. Spark Arresters shall be a model tested and approved under Forest Service Standard 5100-1a as shown in the National Wildfire Coordinating Group Spark Arrester Guide, Volumes 1 and 2, and shall be properly mounted and maintained according to manufacturer’s specifications. Every motor vehicle subject to registration shall at all times be equipped with an adequate exhaust system meeting the requirements of the California Vehicle Code.
