Common use of Special Considerations Clause in Contracts

Special Considerations. All facilities used in connection with the casting or production of the Program including but not limited to dressing rooms, lodging, studios, locations (where feasible), sets, and transportation and access thereto, shall provide reasonable accommodations for Performers with disabilities and shall be suitable for the special needs and requirements of any Performers whether by reason of age or disability. For any role in which a deaf Performer is sought or cast, Employer shall provide, during the audition or throughout the engagement certified or qualified interpreter(s) for the deaf (i.e. interpreter(s) qualified or certified in sign language or oral interpretation). With regard to Performers who are blind or visually impaired, Employer and such Performers shall make mutually acceptable provisions to make the script and/or sides available to the Performer in advance of auditions and in a format that can be used with screen-reading software.
