Spousal Transition Issues. The Abbott Group and AbbVie Group will cooperate to develop uniform guidelines intended to ensure that, to the extent commercially practicable, from the Distribution Date through December 31, 2013, Employees who are married to each other or who are domestic partners as of the Distribution Date do not incur additional aggregate cost, or derive additional aggregate benefit, under the PR Health and Welfare Plans of the Parties solely because one such Employee is an Abbott Retained Employee and the other is an AbbVie Employee.
