Staffing Support. EVS staffing needs are impacted by a number of factors including but not limited to situations such as high Admits, Discharges, and Transfers (ADT), number of isolation rooms, and number of stat calls. Management will use information obtained at safety and nursing huddles as well as the following census thresholds to identify periods when additional EVS resources are needed: ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ > 130 Cherry Hill > 170 FH > 450 Issaquah > 75 ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ > 55 When additional resources are needed, management will authorize the use of per diems, part time staff and/or overtime shifts. When an area in need has been identified, staff will be deployed in the following order:
1. Flex staff
2. Call-in (part time, per diem, overtime)
3. Regularly assigned staff moving from their home unit In the event that staff assigned to a home unit floats, they will return to their home unit when call-in staff arrive or the immediate need is met. Management will make a good faith effort to maintain positions on each campus at an adequate level to support scheduling needs to include sick, vacation and census spikes to help fill current staffing gaps.
Staffing Support. Staffing requirements (i.e. complement of staff to number of people supported) will be determined by the Employer, in consultation with support staff, based on the needs of the people supported and, taking into consideration available human and financial resources, health and safety provisions and the level of care required at each work site. Staffing support will not be reduced to avoid staff replacements or overtime and shall not impact negatively on people supported or staff members. Staffing requirements will be established and communicated to the team for each work site. At the discretion of the Employer, staffing requirements may be amended from time to time based on operational requirements and subject to the provisions of this article. The Employer will notify the Union prior to implementing any changes to staff complement, unless the need for change is unanticipated.
Staffing Support. The DISTRICT agrees to work directly with the subject Investment School leadership teams (coordinating with PLAS for PLAS schools) and to utilize resources allocated to the Investment Schools to expedite and assure improved staffing. The DISTRICT and the Investment Schools will establish an expedited priority staffing process and calendar for the Investment schools. Investment Schools will work with Human Resources staff to create schedules for school site interviews of interested teachers. The DISTRICT shall require all teachers seeking a position on the re-hire or priority placement list to submit an updated resume electronically in the Teacher Finder system. The DISTRICT will conduct exit interviews of teachers and administrators who decide to leave one of the Investment Schools to help evaluate the effectiveness of the Program.
