Common use of State and Local Transaction Privilege Taxes Clause in Contracts

State and Local Transaction Privilege Taxes. The CP member is subject to all applicable state and local transaction privilege taxes. Transaction privilege taxes apply to the sales of products and are the sole responsibility of Vendor, as the seller, to remit. Failure to remit taxes from HCDE/CP and/or the CP member, as the buyer, does not relieve Vendor, as the seller, from its obligation to remit taxes.
