State Government Furnished Equipment and Property. As required in the Contract, each Contractor shall acquire a work facility and the necessary equipment and property to perform their contract requirements during the implementation period. All equipment and property acquired by the Contractor during the implementation phase in connection with the performance of the contract shall be property of the State of Iowa. The IME shall use the following guidelines and procedures to acquire and transfer State equipment and property: The Contractor shall obtain approval from DHS prior to acquiring equipment and property. To obtain such approval, the Contractor shall complete and submit an IME Purchase Request form to their respective IME Unit Manager. Once the equipment and property has been acquired, the Contractor shall submit an IME Equipment/Property Inventory form within 3 business days after the receipt of the equipment and property. The Contractor shall install and maintain the property and equipment in accordance with vendor’s specifications. DHS may inspect the property and equipment during the Implementation period. The Contractor shall notify their respective IME Unit Manager upon any damage (beyond normal wear and use), abuse or loss of property and equipment. Upon completion of the Implementation phase, the equipment and property shall be transferred to IME. The Contractor shall be responsible for ensuring the equipment and property (with necessary instructions and manuals) is available for DHS final inspection.
