Common use of State Laws Clause in Contracts

State Laws. i. Subrecipient shall, unless exempted, ensure compliance with the requirements of Cal. Gov. Code §11135 et seq., and 2 CCR § 11140 et seq., which prohibit recipients of state financial assistance from discriminating against persons based on race, national origin, ethnic group identification, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, color, or disability. Subrecipient’s signature affixed hereon shall constitute a certification, under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of California, that Subrecipient has, unless exempted, complied with the nondiscrimination program requirements of Government Code Section 12900 (a-f) and Title 2, California Code of Regulations, Section 8103. iii. Subrecipient shall include the nondiscrimination and compliance provisions of this Paragraph 48 “A” in all sub-contracts to perform work under this Contract.
