Human Rights Act. The Parties hereto subscribe to the principles of the Human Rights Act of British Columbia.
Human Rights Act. Any claim by an employee or the Union pertaining to a violation of the Human Rights Act or the Employment Standards Act, may be the subject of a grievance which shall be processed in accordance with the Grievance Procedure.
Human Rights Act. The School shall comply with the Minnesota Human Rights Act, Chapter 363A, which prohibits unfair discriminatory practices in employment, public accommodations, public services, or education; and comply with Minnesota Statutes section 121A.04, which governs provisions of equal opportunities for members of both sexes to participate in athletic programs.
Human Rights Act. (a) The parties hereto subscribe to the principles of the Human Rights Act of British Columbia.
(b) The parties will meet and review methods of extending knowledge of the Human Rights Act within the Public Service and for extending knowledge relating to the Human Rights Act to all employees.
(c) The Employer and the Union will cooperate in providing employees with information in the form of brochures, etc. provided by the BC Human Rights Commission, explaining the provisions of the Human Rights Act.
Human Rights Act. The Employer and the Union recognize the rights of employees to work in an environment free from harassment, including sexual harassment, and discrimination. Where an employee alleges that harassment or discrimination has occurred on the job the employee shall have the right to grieve under the Collective Agreement. Where the Employer or the Union has received an allegation of harassment or discrimination, it will be investigated on a priority basis in accordance with this joint commitment.
Human Rights Act. The parties hereto subscribe to the principles of the Canada Human Rights Act.
Human Rights Act. To protect and guarantee the integrity of the students' personal liberties and beliefs, no employee shall impose upon any students a particular creed, tenet, belief, dogma or any other matter related to political, religious, social, cultural, ethnic or any other circumstance.
Human Rights Act. Any claim by an employee, the Union or the Employer pertaining to a violation of the Constitution of Canada, the Human Rights Act, or the Employment Standards Act, or any other labour relations legislation may be the subject of a grievance which shall be processed in accordance with the Grievance Procedure.
Human Rights Act. The parties hereto subscribe to the principles of the Human Rights Acts of both British Columbia and Canada. It is acknowledged that, in accordance with Section 19 of the British Columbia Human Rights Act, the Employer may give preference to Aboriginal Peoples with respect to its hiring and promotional practices.
Human Rights Act. Both parties to this Agreement agree to abide by the "Human Rights Act" as set out under Chapter 10 of the Revised Statutes of British Columbia.
