XXX, at its sole discretion, may elect to directly provide meals to CONTRACTOR for distribution to LEA students at the nonpublic school on its own or by another local school district. STATE MEAL MANDATE. When CONTRACTOR is an a NPS, CONTRACTOR and XXX shall satisfy the State Meal Mandate under California Education Code sections 49005 et seq,.; ; 49501.5, the universal meal mandate enacted by AB 130 (2021-222022); 49530 et seq; and 49550 et seq. (OPTIONAL) XXX, at its sole discretion, may elect to directly provide meals to CONTRACTOR for distribution to LEA students at the nonpublic school on its own or by another local school district. CONTRACTOR acknowledges that the LEA does not receive any state or federal reimbursement for any meals CONTRACTOR provides to LEA students and that CONTRACTOR is only eligible to receive direct reimbursement if it is an approved site under the National School Lunch Program. In the event the LEA requests CONTRACTOR to provide meals to LEA students, CONTRACTOR will provide breakfast and lunch to LEA students in compliance with the meal pattern requirements under the School Breakfast Program and National School Lunch Program nutritional standards. XXX shall reimburse CONTRACTOR for each meal made available at a mutually agreed upon rate.
