Common use of Status of Relationship Clause in Contracts

Status of Relationship. Each party is an independent contractor of the other, and this Agreement shall not be construed to create any association, partnership, joint venture, employee or agency relationship between Customer and Pilot for any purpose. Neither party shall have any authority (and shall not hold itself out as having authority) to bind the other party, and neither party shall make any agreements or representations on the other party’s behalf without such party’s prior written consent.
