Common use of Status on Restoration Clause in Contracts

Status on Restoration. An employee who has been laid off or voluntarily reduced under the provisions of this Article and subsequently restored in their former classification within a two (2) year period from the date of the employee layoff or voluntary reduction shall receive the following considerations and benefits: a. All sick leave credited to the employee's account when laid off shall be restored, unless the employee received compensation for such sick leave at the time of the layoff. b. All retention points held upon layoff shall be restored. c. All prior service shall be credited for the purpose of determining sick leave and vacation earning rates, longevity pay increases, and time in step. d. The employee shall be placed on the step of the salary range that was held at the time of the layoff.
