Common use of Street Lighting and Electrical Distribution Clause in Contracts

Street Lighting and Electrical Distribution. The Owner shall be responsible for the supply and installation of all street lighting poles, luminaries, brackets, wiring and controls, etc. Equipment and installation shall meet the standards of the City, as revised from time to time. Wiring shall be done to the standards required by Hydro One Networks Inc. and all expenses incurred by Hydro One Networks Inc. and the City for inspection of the street lighting works and the connection of the street lighting works into Hydro One Networks Inc. electrical system shall be borne by the Owner. Prior to energization of the street light and electrical distribution system the Owner shall contact the Electrical Safety Authority (hereinafter referred to as “ESA”) at 0-000-000-0000 and schedule the inspection of the street light and electrical distribution system works, arrange for a copy of the ESA’s “Connection Authorization” to be forwarded to the Director and arrange for Hydro One Networks Inc. to provide the Director with 48 hours notification of their intent to energize the street light and electrical distribution system. The Owner shall ensure that no shrubs or trees are planted closer than one (1) metre from the three sides of any hydro transformer and not within two
