Structural Fill. Structural fill shall have a Plasticity Index less than 15 and a Liquid Limit less than 40 in accordance with ASTM D 4318, and shall be well graded in accordance with ASTM C 136 within the following limits: Sieve No. or Size Percent Finer by Weight 3 inches 100 1-1/2 inches 80 to 100 No. 4 50 to 100 C. Sand: Where sand is used, it shall be free from rock, clay, and organic material, suitable for the purpose intended and shall be: Sieve No. or Size Percent Finer by Weight 3/8-inch 100 No. 4 90 to 100 No. 200 0 to 10 D. Crushed Rock or Gravel: Shall be clean, hard, sound, durable and uniform in quality and shall be the product of crushing rock or gravel. The portion of the material that is retained on a 3/8-inch sieve shall contain at least 50 percent of particles having three or more fractured faces. Not over 5 percent shall be pieces that do not have fractured faces from crushing. The material shall be free from clay, vegetable matter, loam, and volcanic tuft. 1. The material shall be of such size that the percentage composition by dry weight as determined by laboratory sieve in accordance with ASTM C 136 will conform to the following gradations: 1-inch 100 3/4-inch 90-100 No. 200 0-3 E. Shoring: All timber, lumber and structural steel used for trench shoring, shall be sound and free from defects that might impair their strength. Steel sheet piling shall be rolled steel shapes of the continuous interlocking type forming a continuous wall when individual sheets are driven side by side. Sheet piling and all accessories shall conform to the requirements of ASTM A328.
Structural Fill. Structural fill should consist of an approved granular soil, which is free of organics and deleterious material. Fill material meeting the current PEITIE Class A, Select Borrow, and Premium Borrow specification would be acceptable for use. Structural fill should be placed and compacted in lifts to 100 percent of the Standard ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ maximum dry density. Lift thicknesses must be compatible with the compaction equipment used, and the fill selected, in order to achieve the required density throughout.

  • Removal of Improvements All alterations, additions and other improvements by Tenant shall become the property of Landlord and shall not be removed from the Premises, unless request is made by Landlord to Tenant to remove those alterations, additions and other improvements which were made without Landlord's approval where such approval was required under this Lease. All moveable trade fixtures, furniture, furnishings and signs installed in the Premises by Tenant and paid for by Tenant, shall remain the property of Tenant and may be removed upon the expiration of the term of this Lease; provided that any of such items as are affixed to the Premises and require severance may be removed only if Tenant repairs any damage caused by such removal and that Tenant shall otherwise comply with all of the terms, conditions and covenants to be performed by Tenant under this Lease with respect to such removal. If Tenant fails to remove such items from the Premises by the expiration of the Lease Term or earlier termination of this Lease, all such trade fixtures, furniture, furnishings and signs shall become the property of Landlord, unless Landlord elects to require their removal, in which case Tenant shall, at its sole cost and expense, promptly remove the same and restore the Premises to its condition on the date of this Lease. The covenants contained in this Section shall survive the expiration of the Lease Term or earlier termination hereof.

  • Access to Records; Contractor Financial Records Contractor agrees that District and its authorized representatives are entitled to review all Contractor books, documents, papers, plans, and records, electronic or otherwise (“Records”), directly pertinent to this Contract for the purpose of making audit, examination, excerpts, and transcripts.
