Common use of Subcontracting and Assignability Clause in Contracts

Subcontracting and Assignability. This Contract cannot be subcontracted or assigned without prior written approval of COUNTY. In the event of such approval, any sub-contract or assignment is subject to the same provisions for providing service as the Contract between COUNTY and CONTRACTOR. CONTRACTOR must monitor, evaluate, and account for the sub- CONTRACTOR(s) services and operations. Any assignment of this Contract or sub- contract entered into in violation of this provision by CONTRACTOR is void and CONTRACTOR will be held legally responsible.
