Common use of Subcontractors’ Insurance Clause in Contracts

Subcontractors’ Insurance. If the Engineer’s insurance does not afford coverage on behalf of any Subcontractor(s) hired by the Engineer, the Subcontractor(s) shall maintain insurance coverage equal to that required of the Engineer. It is the responsibility of the Engineer to assure compliance with this provision. The City accepts no responsibility arising from the conduct, or lack of conduct, of the Subcontractor.
