Submission Procedure. a. If an appeal from suspension or reduction is not settled at Step 2, it may be presented to the Chief Human Resources Officer within seven (7) calendar days from the date the decision was rendered. b. An appeal from any discharge or from a suspension or reduction imposed by the County Executive Officer may be presented to the Chief Human Resources Officer within ten (10) calendar days from the date the action becomes final. c. All disciplinary appeals shall be signed by a representative of IUOE and shall be submitted in writing as follows: Was (employee's name) suspended/reduced/discharged for reasonable cause? If not, to what remedy is the appellant entitled under the provisions of Article X, Section 8. of this Memorandum? d. As soon as practicable after a suspension, reduction or discharge appeal is presented to the Chief Human Resources Officer, an arbitrator shall hear the appeal.
