Common use of Substitutions and Alternates Clause in Contracts

Substitutions and Alternates. If, after execution of the Agreement and prior to submittal of applicable Shop Drawings to the Architect and Authority, the Trade Contractor desires to submit an Alternate product in lieu of what has been specified or shown in the Trade Contract Documents, the Trade Contractor may proceed only after receiving written approval from the Authority. All prototypes that have been approved must be installed in their required locations by Trade Contractor, unless an Alternate product has been approved in writing by the Authority.
