Common use of Supporting Documentation Clause in Contracts

Supporting Documentation. A Claim submittal must include the following: .1 A statement that it is a Claim, clearly specifying the amount requested (with respect to Claims for payment), and/or the number of days requested (with respect to Claims for an extension of the Contract Time); .2 A detailed description of the act, error, omission, Differing Site Condition, event or other circumstance giving rise to the Claim; and .3 A statement demonstrating that a Change Order Request was submitted in a timely manner as required by Section 7.2 of these General Conditions, along with a copy of the Change Order Request and the City’s written rejection of the subject Claim.
