SURGE PROTECTION. The Administrator will make payment arrangements associated with the repair or replacement of the Meter-Base Protector and Grounding Wire. Payment arrangements will be made directly between You and the authorized service contractor prior to the completion of work for Covered Equipment. You may be required to pay for the repair or replacement of the Covered Equipment, in which case We will reimburse You when the Administrator receives Your valid paid invoice(s) including the authorized service contractor’s failure reason of the Covered Equipment.
SURGE PROTECTION. When service is required, You are to telephone the Administrator at 888.999.8856. All service for Meter-Base Protector failure or Grounding Wire failure must be performed by an authorized service contractor arranged by the Administrator. The Administrator will only pay for repairs in Section A “Coverage” above performed by an authorized service contractor.
SURGE PROTECTION. Protection equipment shall be provided to the approval of the Engineer to guard against the effects of lightning strikes, and induced high voltage transients.
SURGE PROTECTION. Internal surge protection shall consist of three MOV type surge-arrestors connected from +ve and –ve terminals to earth (via Y arrangement)
SURGE PROTECTION. Including AC line-to-line RC filters sized to limit commutation overshoot voltage on the thyristors.

SURGE PROTECTION. Coverage does not apply and We will not pay benefits for:
SURGE PROTECTION. Customers shall not employ fast-acting valves on any line or connection thereto without surge protection approved by Dekalb County.
SURGE PROTECTION. We will cover up to $1,000 per 12-month period from the Closing Date for surge protection. COVERED: Breakdown of any covered product under Your Service Plan caused by power surge or spike if the Breakdown occurs while the product is connected to a surge protector accepted by the Underwriter’s Laboratory. We may collect Your surge protector for examination.
SURGE PROTECTION. ATS is protected by the shelter MOV only lightning arrestor (Transtector Model 1101-808) and MOV/SAD lightning arrestor (Transtector Model 1101-808MM)
