Common use of Tax Exemption Certificates Clause in Contracts

Tax Exemption Certificates. Purchases made for State of Texas use are exempt from the State Sales Tax and Federal Excise Tax. The Owner will furnish Tax Exemption Certificates upon request. Contractor represents and warrants that it shall pay all taxes or similar amounts resulting from the Contract, including, but not limited to, any federal, State, or local income, sales or excise taxes of Contractor or its employees. The Owner shall not be liable for any taxes resulting from the Contract.
