Common use of Taxes Payable by Landlord Clause in Contracts

Taxes Payable by Landlord. The Landlord shall pay the Taxes to the applicable taxing authority, subject to reimbursement by the Tenant as hereinafter set out. The Landlord shall have no obligation to contest or litigate the imposition of any Taxes. The Landlord may defer payment of Taxes to the extent permitted by law if it diligently pursues or causes to be pursued the contest or appeal of the Taxes.
