Technical Expert Responsibilities. A subcontract does not relieve the Technical Expert of any responsibilities under this contract.
Technical Expert Responsibilities. 1.2.1. The Technical Expert shall use access to ECOS and/or the project information as provided by the State to define the APE. 1.2.2. The Technical Expert shall undertake a review of existing data, including, but not limited to: the Texas Archeological Sites Atlas, topographic maps, geologic maps, soil maps, PALM of the project area (if available), aerial photographs (modern and historic), and historic maps. 1.2.3. Based on this review, the Background Study must identify and plot on a map No Survey Areas and proposed Survey Areas. 1.2.4. The Background Study must also include separate recommendations regarding project effects and the level of work required to evaluate effects within shallow deposits (less than three feet deep) and deep deposits (three or more feet in depth). 1.2.5. The Technical Expert shall note whether the Background Study results can be extended into a Buffer Zone and define this Buffer Zone.
