Temporary Assignment to Perform Duties. of a Higher Classification‌ Permanent employees assigned in writing to perform duties of a higher classification shall receive a five percent (5%) increase, or to the first step of the higher level class, whichever is greater, after working fifteen (15) consecutive days, or 120 hours, in such higher paid class. To be eligible for such pay the employee must assume a majority of the duties and responsibilities of the higher level class, and the assignment must be approved by the City Administrator.
