Temporary Replacements. When a vacancy occurs during or within ten (10) calendar days of the start of a semester or summer term, the Board may employ a Temporary Instructor for the balance of that term.
Temporary Replacements. Persons who replace an employee on leave as a daily substitute will be designated as temporary employees and are not members of the bargaining unit. This does not pertain to members of the bargaining unit subbing for SEA or SEEO members.
Temporary Replacements. When an employee temporarily replaces another employee of a higher pay grade, in instances such as illness or vacation, the replacing employee will receive the payment of the higher classifications as well as any shift or license differential for which he would qualify. Custodial employees will be required to receive a “Special” boiler license and be making reasonable progress towards becoming a shift engineer in order to qualify for the replacement pay when the employee replaces a Building Engineer.

Temporary Replacements. 56.1 (a) Where employees who are on authorized leave of absence for a period of at least seven (7) weeks, or which the Employer reasonably knows will be on authorized leave of absence for a period of at least seven (7) weeks, are to be replaced by temporary personnel, the replacement shall be taken from the ranks of Permanent and Permanent Part-Time employees based on seniority from within the affected department.

In the event of an absence of an umpire on an emergency basis, the Office of the Commissioner will provide a replacement umpire to complete the crew at full strength (four men) within forty-eight (48) hours after it learns of and approves the emergency absence of the regu- lar crew member. If, due to circumstances beyond the control of the Office of the Commissioner, a temporary replacement cannot be obtained, the crew of the absent umpire will continue to work in less than a four-man configuration.

When temporary vacancies in bid jobs posted, they will be posted locally within the work group. When an employee being replaced by a temporary employee fails to return, their position will filled as per Article Xxxxxx
Temporary Replacements. A. The College shall establish a list of qualified persons to work as TEMPORARY REPLACEMENTS who may be employed to perform emergency or nonrecurring work or work of a sporadic nature (e.g., a special project) or in the following circumstances: after a regular employee is absent from work for five (5) continuous days by reason of illness; a disability; an injury covered by Workers Compensation; a vacation or a personal or other leave.
