TERM AND SCOPE OF THE CIA. A. The period of the compliance obligations assumed by Health Quest under this CIA shall be five years from the effective date of this CIA. For purposes of this CIA, the term “Covered Persons” includes: (1) all owners who are natural persons, officers, directors, and employees of Health Quest; and (2) all contractors, subcontractors, agents, and other persons who furnish patient care items or services or who perform billing or coding functions on behalf of Health Quest excluding vendors whose sole connection with Health Quest is selling or otherwise providing medical supplies or equipment to Health Quest. Notwithstanding the above, this term does not include part-time or per diem employees, contractors, subcontractors, agents, and other persons are not reasonably expected to work more than 160 hours during a Reporting Period, except that any such individuals shall become “Covered Persons” at the point when they work more than 160 hours during a Reporting Period.

Notwithstanding the above, this term does not include part-time or per diem employees, contractors, subcontractors, agents, and other persons who are not reasonably expected to work more than 160 hours during a Reporting Period, except that any such individuals shall become “"Covered Persons” " at the point when they work more than 160 hours during a Reporting Period.

The term “Covered Functions” includes (1) the furnishing, ordering or prescribing of patient care items or services that are reimbursed by Federal health care programs; and (2) billing, coding or who perform billing or coding functions on behalf of Health Quest excluding vendors whose sole connection with Health Quest is selling or otherwise providing medical supplies or equipment to Health Questclaims submission for items and services that are reimbursed by Federal health care programs.
