Purpose and Scope. The purpose of these standard contractual clauses is to ensure compliance with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation)1 for the transfer of personal data to a third country.
Purpose and Scope. 1. This Agreement shall govern the implementation by the IP of the relevant parts of the Programme (including humanitarian response in the Country) through one or several Programme Documents. It describes the relationship between the Parties and the Parties’ responsibilities.

This Item describes the Public Work Enforcement Fund (the Fund, PWEF) and its relevance to State agencies and public benefit corporations engaged in construction or reconstruction contracts, maintenance and repair, and announces the recently-enacted increase to the percentage of the dollar value of such contracts that must be deposited into the Fund. This item also describes the roles of the following entities with respect to the Fund: - New York State Department of Labor (DOL), - The Office of the State of Comptroller (OSC), and - State agencies and public benefit corporations.
Purpose and Scope. Establish a City of San Diego-administered Catastrophic Leave Bank permitting City employees to assist other City employees who face extended leaves without pay due to a catastrophic occurrence in their lives. For the purpose of this plan, a “catastrophic occurrence” is defined as any event that would qualify the employee for a leave under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), other local, state, or federally protected leave, and other extraordinary circumstances as determined by the Human Resources Director or designee. Although this Program establishes a mechanism for leave transfers, participation is entirely voluntary. Employees who are entitled to annual leave are eligible to request a Catastrophic Leave Bank from their date of hire. Catastrophic Leave determinations are non-grievable. Catastrophic leave coverage shall be extended to events affecting registered domestic partners provided that a City of San Diego Affidavit of Domestic Partnership has been submitted.

The City of San Diego offers a Medical Leave-Sharing Plan and Leave Bank (Medical Leave Bank) to give City employees the ability to assist other City employees who face extended leaves without pay due to a major health crisis, whether their own, or that of a family member. Although this Program establishes a mechanism for leave transfers, participation is entirely voluntary. Employees who are entitled to annual leave are eligible to request a Medical Leave Bank from their date of hire. Medical Leave Sharing determinations are non- grievable. For purposes of this plan, a “major health crisis” is defined as: (1) the employee’s own medically certified “serious health condition,” as defined by the federal Family and Medical Leave Act, (2) the medically-certified “serious health condition” of the employee’s spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, or grandchild (or in-law or step-relative in one of these relationships), (3) the medically-certified “serious health condition” of the employee’s registered domestic partner, or (4) the death of the employee’s spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, or grandchild (or in-law or step-relative in one of these relationships), or employee’s registered domestic partner (provided that a City of San Diego Affidavit of Domestic Partnership has been submitted). The determination of whether a major health crisis exists is made by the Human Resources Department Director or designee.
Purpose and Scope. 1.1 It is the purpose of this Collective Agreement to set forth certain terms and conditions of employment together with salaries, allowances and related benefits, and to provide a process for the settlement of all matters in dispute between the Union and the Board herein after called the parties.
1.2 It is the expressed desire of the parties to maintain a harmonious relationship and to recognize the mutual value of joint discussions and negotiations.
Purpose and Scope. The Guild, consistent with its role as exclusive collective bargaining representative for Writers, and Agent negotiated in good faith the Agreement, which is a mutual agreement between the parties. The purpose of this Agreement is to ensure that Agent fulfills its fiduciary duties to its Writer clients and to align Agent’s financial incentives with those of its Writer clients. This Agreement shall be limited to the Agent’s representation of Writers with respect to the option and sale of literary material or the rendition of writing services in a field of work covered by a Guild CBA. The provisions of the Agreement shall not apply to the Agent’s representation of a Writer with respect to the Writer’s non-writing services or other services not covered by a Guild CBA or as to which the Guild is not the exclusive collective bargaining representative.
Purpose and Scope. The Parties intend for this Agreement to provide the foundation and structure for assisting Initiative costs through the following understanding:
Purpose and Scope. Recognizing that there are times and circumstances in which it may be necessary to seek third-party assistance in the resolution of grievances, and in an attempt to find a way in which to bring about such resolutions without incurring the costs and delays associated with formal arbitration proceedings, the parties have agreed to provide for an optional grievance investigation procedure. The process is intended to complement the grievance and arbitration procedures otherwise provided for in this Agreement. It is not intended to replace those other procedures.
Purpose and Scope. 22.1.1 The purpose of this Grievance Procedure is to establish effective machinery for the fair, expeditious and orderly adjustment of grievances. Only matters involving the interpretation, application, enforcement or alleged violation of an express provision of this Agreement shall constitute a grievance.
22.1.2 The parties agree that every effort should be made to resolve grievances informally with the first level Supervisor or others, as appropriate, and to settle grievances at the lowest possible level. The grievant and/or the Union and the appropriate County representative shall meet, if necessary, to attempt to resolve the grievance at any step.
22.1.3 A grievance may move to any level in the grievance procedure by written mutual agreement of the parties.
