Common use of Term/Effective Date Clause in Contracts

Term/Effective Date. The term for these Services shall commence on AUGUST 25, 2022 and shall expire on JUNE 30, 2023 unless terminated earlier pursuant to the terms of this Agreement. The District, in its sole discretion, shall have two (2) options to extend the term of this Agreement for a period or periods of up to one (1) year each. The maximum term of this Agreement shall not exceed three (3) years. This Agreement shall become effective only upon approval and/or ratification by the District’s Board of Education in an open, noticed meeting, proper execution by the Parties and certification by the Chief Financial Officer as to the availability of funds. The District has no obligation to renew or extend this Agreement after expiration of its term.

The District will use its best efforts to notify the Contractor by May 1, 2023, about whether to renew this Agreement. If the District does not notify the Contractor by May 1, 2023, then the Contract is not renewed. The maximum term of this Agreement shall not exceed three (3) years. This Agreement shall become effective only upon approval and/or ratification by the District’s Board of Education in an open, noticed meeting, proper execution by the Parties and certification by the Chief Financial Officer as to the availability of funds. The District has no obligation to renew or extend this Agreement after expiration of its term.
