Common use of TERMINATION, MODIFICATION OR AMENDMENT Clause in Contracts

TERMINATION, MODIFICATION OR AMENDMENT. This Agreement shall become effective on July 1, 2009, and remain in full force and effect until June 30, 2014 unless otherwise stated herein. It shall automatically be renewed from year to year thereafter unless either party shall give the other party written notice of a desire to terminate, modify or amend this Agreement. Such notice shall be given the other party in writing by certified mail no later than January 1 of the year involved. This Agreement may be reopened by either party hereto for the sole purpose of studying the reports of the joint Labor-Management Committees provided for in this Agreement, in order to negotiate and/or prepare recommended amendments to the appropriate Ordinances as may be mutually agreed to by both parties.
