Termination of Service in Exceptional Circumstances. a) In the event of sale, laying-up, or lengthy stay in a repair yard, the Company may terminate the service. The Officer is then entitled to pay up to including the day of signing-off plus two (2) months basic wages and repatriation to Manila on the Company's account. b) The Officer is entitled to terminate the service contract immediately if the vessel is declared unseaworthy in accordance with Chapter 1, Rule 19, of the Convention on the Safety of Life at Sea (the "SOLAS" Convention). The vessel shall also be deemed to be unseaworthy if it lacks one or more of the certificates prescribed in Chapter 1, Rules 12 and 13 of the "SOLAS" Convention.
