Common use of Testing Apparatus and Laboratory Clause in Contracts

Testing Apparatus and Laboratory. The Contractor shall provide and maintain at the manufacturer’s plants or Contractor’s plant at the project site a suitable registering thermometric instruments, weighing devices and other apparatus necessary for the determination of the temperatures, the penetrations, the qualities of materials used, the grading of the mineral aggregates, and for all other tests required by the Contract Documents throughout the process of manufacture. These instruments, weighing devices and other apparatus shall be of standard type and approved by the Commissioner. The Contractor shall also provide at manufacturer’s plants or Contractor’s plant at the site a suitable space in which a representative, designated by the Engineer, can carry out these tests under proper conditions.
