Testing Standards. a. Employees will be required to take drug tests as part of any promotional physical examination required by this Department. b. The Employer may order an employee to submit to a drug test when there is reasonable suspicion that the employee is or has been using illegal drugs or prescription drugs in violation of this policy. c. An employee’s failure or refusal to submit to a drug test as directed by the Department or the alteration or substitution of a specimen shall be a violation of this drug testing policy and shall result in discipline up to, and including, discharge.
