Common use of Time and Means of Calling Clause in Contracts

Time and Means of Calling. A. Employees will be called as far as practicable two hours in advance of the time required to report for duty, except in cases of emergency. Employees will be called by telephone. When employees are accommodated in the facilities provided by the company, and telephone service is not available, other means may be used for calling. In the application of this rule, if employees in assigned service desire to be called on a regular basis, they will so request in writing.
