Common use of Time for Performance and Liquidated Damages Clause in Contracts

Time for Performance and Liquidated Damages. a) Time is of the essence in the performance of the work under this Agreement. The "Commencement Date" shall be established in each Task Order to be issued by the County. Contractor shall commence the work within seventy-two (72) hours from the Commencement Date. No work shall be performed prior to the Commencement Date. Any work performed by Contractor prior to the Commencement Date shall be at the sole risk of Contractor. No work under this contract shall commence until certificates of insurance have been received and acknowledged by the County.
