Time in Department Clause Samples

The 'Time in Department' clause defines the required duration an individual must spend within a specific department or role. Typically, this clause sets a minimum period—such as one or two years—that an employee must complete before becoming eligible for transfer, promotion, or certain benefits. By establishing clear expectations for tenure, the clause helps ensure organizational stability and allows for effective workforce planning.
