Common use of TO MEET PAYMENT OBLIGATIONS Clause in Contracts

TO MEET PAYMENT OBLIGATIONS. In consideration of the fact that the Resident Representative cannot provide skilled nursing care to the Resident and that he/she wish to facilitate the Resident’s receipt of such care at the Center, the Resident Representative personally guarantees continuity of payment to the Center for the cost of the Resident’s care. However, unless the Resident Representative is otherwise obligated by law to pay for the Resident’s care (as the Resident’s spouse may, under certain circumstances, be), the Resident Representative is not required to pay for the Resident’s care from his/her own personal funds. The Resident Representative does hereby personally agree to take all legal steps available to him/her to guarantee to use the Resident’s own income and resources (both liquid and ill-liquid) for payment of the Basic Rate (including any applicable Assessment) to the Center (where Medicare Part A coverage is not available) until the month in which the Resident’s Medicaid eligibility covers such charges. .
