Common use of Tools and Tool Allowance Clause in Contracts

Tools and Tool Allowance. Effective July 1, 1987, the City shall provide a tool allowance not to exceed $300.00 per year or a pro-rata share thereof for the purchase, maintenance and/or replacement of hand tools. Effective July 1, 2010, the City shall provide a tool allowance not to exceed $350.00 per year or a pro-rata share thereof for the purchase, maintenance and/or replacement of hand tools. Payments required by this section shall be made in an amount not to exceed $175.00 on the first pay date in December and in an amount not to exceed $175.00 on the first pay date in June. The tool allowance provided in this section shall be available to employees in the following classifications: 1. Conduit Mechanic 13. Senior Communications Tech 2. Communications Technician 14. Senior Conduit Mechanic 3. Communications Tech Aide 15. Senior Electrician
