Total Award Clause Samples
The 'Total Award' clause defines the maximum amount of compensation or damages that can be granted under a contract or legal proceeding. In practice, this clause sets a cap on the total financial liability or recovery, regardless of the number of claims or claimants involved. For example, if multiple breaches occur, the combined awards cannot exceed the specified total limit. Its core function is to provide certainty and manage risk by preventing unlimited financial exposure for the parties involved.
