Common use of Total Permanent Disability Compensation Clause in Contracts

Total Permanent Disability Compensation. (a) The Board agrees in principle to the concept of providing suitable compensation should a Member be totally and permanently disabled in the performance of his/her official duties as a Member. The basis and guidelines for determining the amount of such compensation will be as set out in Schedule "E" attached to and forming part of the 1988-1990 Collective Agreement between the West Vancouver Police Board and the West Vancouver Police Association. (b) Representatives of the Board and Association will form a Committee to work toward development of a Total Permanent Disability Compensation Plan which may afford the disabled Member options as to the manner and the amounts in which such compensation is provided to the Member and to establish more clearly the compensation to be paid or assigned by the Member to the Board. (c) Pending acceptance by the Board and the Association of the recommendations of the above Committee, the provisions of Schedule "E" attached to the Xxxx Xxxxxxxxx 0000-0000 Collective Agreement will apply. In this regard, to facilitate reference, the provisions of the aforementioned Schedule are contained as Schedule "E" attached to and forming part of this Agreement.
