Common use of Trades Certification Clause in Contracts

Trades Certification. 43.02 Where an employee with a certification in one trade performs work in a trade for which they do not possess a certificate, they shall advise the Employer. The Employer shall ensure that the work performed is inspected by a qualified tradesperson at the earliest possible date. The Employer will ensure that traditional job titles will be used properly reflecting the dignity and status of tradespersons; using the trade name in the position title to conform to the journeyperson certification required.
