Common use of TRANSACTION WITH MERCHANTS Clause in Contracts

TRANSACTION WITH MERCHANTS. 6.1. AEON Credit shall be entitled to disclose to any merchant to whom the Card may be presented or any member institution of VISA Inc., the Cardholder’s Account number and any other information which may be necessary to facilitate the use of the Card or the processing of any transaction effected or to be effected through the use of the Card, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, and other relevant personal data and privacy rules and regulations. 6.2. Without prejudice to Clause 6.1 hereof, AEON Credit shall not be responsible for the refusal of any merchant or member institution of VISA Inc. to honour or accept the Card or for any defect or deficiency in the goods or services supplied to the Cardholder by any merchant. Any complaint by the Cardholder must be resolved directly with the merchant or member institution of VISA Inc. concerned and no claim against the merchant or member institution of VISA Inc. shall entitle the Cardholder to set off for counterclaim against AEON Credit or to withhold payment to AEON Credit on account of any such complaint or under any circumstances whatsoever.
