Transfers Directly Resulting From Layoff. A layoff may involve the transfer of employee(s) to other areas. The Department will attempt to minimize the number of involuntary transfers. 24.6.1 An Employee who had his/her position reassigned, but did not suffer a layoff as a result may, consistent with the continuing authority and discretion of the Superintendent, be assigned other duties/assignments which may or may not change the worksite so long as the reassignment does not require a move of residence. Assignments that require a relocation of residence shall not be a transfer resulting from layoff.
