Transfers Within the Unit. The Union recognizes the right of the Company to transfer an employee from one classification to another and/or one occupational group to another. However, no employee will be moved indiscriminately and furthermore, employee’s career goals/plans in the matter will be given due consideration. An employee who is transferred either by the Company or at such employee’s own request from one classification to another and/or from one occupational group to another shall retain bargaining unit seniority. An employee so transferred shall be given training and supervision.
Transfers Within the Unit. Transfers may be made within the City from one Department to another without loss of seniority, on the following basis: An employee may apply for transfer to the City Manager. No employee shall be transferred without due regard to the seniority provisions of Article of the Agreement. Transferred employees names shall be placed on Department's seniority list in accordance with their length of service with the City.
Transfers Within the Unit. 1. The Employer may transfer Employees from their work site to another work site for reasons of agency or consumer needs. Said transfers shall be neither arbitrary nor capricious.
2. Before involuntarily transferring any Employee from their work site to another work site, the Employer shall seek qualified volunteer(s) in the title. If there are no, or an insufficient number of qualified volunteer(s), the Employer shall transfer the least senior qualified Employee(s) in the title from their work site to another.
3. Upon their request, Employees shall be transferred back to their work site as soon as practical.
4. The Employer may transfer an Employee within the Unit for disciplinary reasons, without adhering to D2 or D3. Such transfers shall be made in consultation with the Union.
5. The parties have agreed to this provision with the expectation that it will be used infrequently.
Transfers Within the Unit. A full-time employee covered by this Agreement, changing status to that of a part-time employee shall retain corporate seniority and her classification seniority. Upon entering into a part-time status shall suffer no loss of wage rate and will then progress in seniority and wage rate increase in the same manner as other part-time employees covered by this Agreement. A part-time employee, changing her status to that of a full-time employee, shall retain her corporate seniority and her classification seniority. Upon entering into a full-time status she shall suffer no loss of basic wage rate and will progress in seniority and wage rate increases in the same manner as other full-time employees covered by the full-time agreement. When an employee transfers from part-time to full-time, he shall be credited with seniority on the basis of one year seniority equal to hours paid. Employees transferring under the provisions of Articles and shall not be entitled to change status for a period of six (6)months after most recent status change.
Transfers Within the Unit. An employee who transfers to another position of a higher pay grade within the bargaining unit shall be placed on the salary schedule for the new position at a step that gives him or her an increase in his or her hourly rate of pay. The transferred employee shall serve a three (3) month probationary period for the new position per the terms of Article XIV, Probationary Period, of this Agreement. If the transferred employee moves to a position in a higher pay grade, he or she shall be eligible for a step increase upon successful completion of the probationary period. The date of transfer shall become the employee's adjusted date of employment for calculation of future annual step increases.
