Common use of TRIAL EMPLOYMENT Clause in Contracts

TRIAL EMPLOYMENT. For twelve (12) months of employment following successful completion of the State of Wyoming Firefighter I curriculum, and assignment to the firefighter duties on shift, employment will continue on a trial (probationary) basis. The trial employment is not intended to extend beyond eighteen (18) months from the date of hire, however, the Fire Chief reserves the right to evaluate equivalency or reciprocity issues and/or extenuating circumstances and make adjustments to the trial period as necessary. Sworn fire personnel within the trial employment period may be laid off, disciplined or terminated at the sole discretion of the City.
