Common use of Tributary Barrier Confirmation and Removal Clause in Contracts

Tributary Barrier Confirmation and Removal. Tributaries to Lake Chelan will be monitored by site visits and photo-monitoring in 2014 by the CPUD to ensure that connectivity to the lake and upstream migration access to spring spawning westslope cutthroat trout is maintained. Photographs of tributary mouths will be taken in late March when the lake elevation is near its’ lowest point to document tributary mouth upstream passage conditions. If photo-monitoring indicates the presence of a passage barrier (water depth, water velocity, gradient) in a tributary, then on-the- ground reconnaissance may be conducted to ascertain the type and extent of the passage barrier.
