Common use of Tropical Hardwood and Virgin Redwood Ban Clause in Contracts

Tropical Hardwood and Virgin Redwood Ban. Pursuant to San Francisco Environment Code Section 804(b), the City urges Contractor not to import, purchase, obtain, or use for any purpose, any tropical hardwood, tropical hardwood wood product, virgin redwood or virgin redwood wood product. 10.18.1 Contractor shall comply with San Francisco Environment Code Chapter 8, which provides that except as expressly permitted by the application of Sections 802(b) and 803(b) of the San Francisco Environment Code, Contractor shall not provide any items to the City in performance of this contract which are tropical hardwoods, tropical hardwood wood products, virgin redwood or virgin redwood wood products. Contractor is subject to the penalty and enforcement provisions of Chapter 8.
