Wire Unbundled DS1 Digital Loop This is a designed 4-wire Loop that is provisioned according to industry standards for DS1 or Primary Rate ISDN services and will come standard with a test point, OC, and a DLR. A DS1 Loop may be provisioned over a variety of loop transmission technologies including copper, HDSL-based technology or fiber optic transport systems. It will include a 4-Wire DS1 Network Interface at the End User’s location.
Unbundled Loops 2.1.1 BellSouth agrees to offer access to unbundled loops pursuant to the following terms and conditions and at the rates set forth in Attachment 11.
Unbundled Sub-Loop Feeder 2.8.4.1 Unbundled Sub-Loop Feeder (USLF) provides connectivity between BellSouth's central office and cross-box (or other access point) that serves an end user location.
2.8.4.2 USLF utilized for voice traffic can be configured as 2-wire voice (USLF-2W/V) or 4-wire voice (USLF-4W/V).
2.8.4.3 USLF utilized for digital traffic can be configured as 2-wire ISDN (USLF-2W/I); 2-wire Copper (USLF-2W/C); 4-wire Copper (USLF-4W/C); 4-wire DS0 level loop (USLF-4W/D0); or 4-wire DS1 and ISDN (USLF-4W/DI).
2.8.4.4 USLF will provide access to both the equipment and the features in the BellSouth central office and BellSouth cross box necessary to provide a 2W or 4W communications pathway from the BellSouth central office to the BellSouth cross- box. This element will allow for the connection of Lightyear’s loop distribution elements onto BellSouth's feeder system.
Unbundled Network Element Combinations 5.1. Unbundled Network Element Combinations shall include: 1) Enhanced Extended Links (EELs); 2) UNE Loops/Special Access Combinations; 3) Loop/Port Combinations; and 4)
Unbundled Voice Loops (UVLs) 2.2.1 BellSouth shall make available the following UVLs:
Unbundled Voice Loop SL2 (UVL-SL2) loops may be 2-wire or 4-wire circuits, shall have remote access test points, and will be designed with a Design Layout Record provided to Talk America. SL2 circuits can be provisioned with loop start, ground start or reverse battery signaling. OC is provided as a standard feature on SL2 loops. The OC feature will allow Talk America to coordinate the installation of the loop with the disconnect of an existing customer’s service and/or number portability service. In these cases, BellSouth will perform the order conversion with standard order coordination at its discretion during normal work hours.
Unbundled Sub Loop distribution facilities shall support functions associated with provisioning, maintenance and testing of the Unbundled Sub-Loop. For access to Voice Grade USL-D and UCSL, SouthEast would be required to deliver a cable to the BellSouth remote terminal or cross-box in the field to provide continuity to SouthEast’s feeder facilities. This cable would be connected, by a BellSouth technician, within the BellSouth RT/cross-box during the set-up process. SouthEast’s cable pairs can then be connected to BellSouth’s USL within the BellSouth cross-box by the BellSouth technician.
