DS3 Loop Sample Clauses

DS3 Loop. DS3 Loop is a two-point digital transmission path which provides for simultaneous two-way transmission of serial, bipolar, return-to-zero isochronous digital electrical signals at a transmission rate of 44.736 megabits per second (Mbps) that is dedicated to the use of the ordering CLEC in its provisioning of local exchange and associated exchange access services. It may provide transport for twenty-eight (28) DS1 channels, each of which provides the digital equivalent of twenty-four (24) analog voice grade channels. The interface to unbundled dedicated DS3 transport is a metallic-based electrical interface.
DS3 Loop. DS3 Loop is a two-point digital transmission path which provides for simultaneous two-way transmission of serial, bipolar, return-to-zero isochronous digital electrical signals at a transmission rate of forty-four point seven thirty-six (44.736) megabits per second (Mbps) that is dedicated to the use of the ordering CLEC. It may provide transport for twenty-eight (28) DS1 channels, each of which provides the digital equivalent of twenty-four (24) analog voice grade channels. The interface to unbundled dedicated DS3 transport is a metallic-based electrical interface. For the purpose of AT&T’s unbundling obligations pursuant to this Agreement, DS3 Loops include STS-1 Loops.
DS3 Loop. A digital transmission channel, between the main distribution frame (or its equivalent) in an end user’s serving wire center and the demarcation point at the end user customer's premises, suitable for the transport of isochronous bipolar serial data at a rate of 44.736 Mbps (the equivalent of 28 DS1 channels). This Loop type is more fully described in Verizon TR 72575, as revised from time to time. A DS3 Loop requires the electronics necessary to provide the DS3 transmission rate. DS3 Loops are sometimes also known as DS3 "Links".

DS3 Loop transmission channelLoop suitable for the transport of isochronous bipolar serial data at a rate of 44.736 Mbps (the equivalent of 28 DS-1 channels) that is provided on an unbundled basis pursuant to 47 U.S.C. § 251(c)(3) and 47 C.F.R. Part
DS3 Loop. A digital transmission channel, between the main distribution frame (or its equivalent) in an end user’s serving wire center and the demarcation point at the end user customer's premises, having a total digital signal speed of 44.736 megabytes per second that Verizon is required to provide, if at all, under the Amended Agreement.

Rates are mileage sensitive and the mileage is in airline miles, rounded up and a minimum of one (1) mile applies. BellSouth TR 73501 LightGate®Service Interface and Performance Specifications, Issue D, June 1995 applies to DS3 service
