Common use of Union Access to Workplace Clause in Contracts

Union Access to Workplace. A staff representative of the Union (“Representative’) may, after notifying the City official in charge, visit the work location of employees covered by this Agreement at any reasonable time for the purpose of investigating grievances. Such Representative shall limit his or her activities during such investigations to a reasonable period of time and to matters relating to this Agreement. City work hours shall not be used by employees or Representative(s) for the conduct of Union business or the promotion of Union affairs.
